The Coronado Bay Bridge was closed in both directions Tuesday morning due to police activity.
The police activity began around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday and there is no estimate for how long the closure will take effect.
Around 7 a.m., the bridge was reopened to traffic.
Those drivers trying to get to Coronado may want to use an alternate route - driving south on Interstate 5 through Imperial Beach and north again along Silver Strand.
