A large geyser erupted from the scene of a hit-and-run crash in Poway Monday night.
The crash was reported at about 7 p.m. on Carriage Rd. and Buckley St., according to the Poway Fire Department.
The car crashed into a fire hydrant and drove off, leaving pieces of the car scattered around the hydrant.
Water to the hydrant was shut off.
