3 Displaced after Apartment Fire

The fire started in the afternoon Easter Sunday in Logan Heights.

Two adults and a 13-year-old were displaced after fire tore through their home Sunday afternoon, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were called to an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Irving Avenue in Logan Heights around 1 p.m. Easter Sunday. Flames and smoke were coming from the building when they arrived.

Officials say crews extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes.

The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents find a place to stay.

There is no word yet what caused the fire.
