Twenty-two high school students at three Southern California high schools have been arrested for campus drug dealing in an undercover sting operation where deputies posed as students.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says the Tuesday morning arrests took place at Temecula Valley High School, Chaparral High School and Rancho Vista Continuation High School.
Riverside County sheriff's deputies posing as students began identifying campus drug dealers during an investigation spanning a couple of months.
One of the undercover deputies reportedly bought marijuana on two occasions from an 18-year-old suspect during class. The deputy later bought ecstasy from the same student, according to court documents.
In addition to the marijuana and ecstasy, deputies also seized cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, LSD and illegal prescription drugs.
Two adults were also arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, but the details of their involvement were not released in a Sheriff's Department statement.
