Farrah Fawcett left nearly all of her $6 million estate to troubled son Redmond, but took steps to ensure the jailed druggie doesn't squander it.

The "Charlie's Angels" actress, who died of cancer on June 25 at age 62, updated her will two years ago, after learning her anal cancer had spread to her liver, according to KTLA television in Los Angeles. The majority of her estate was placed in a trust fund for Redmond, who is 24 years old and serving time for drugs. Nothing was left to Fawcett's longtime lover, Ryan O'Neal.

A shackled Redmond O'Neal was able to visit his dying mother at her hospital bedside in the weeks before her death, with his father, actor Ryan O'Neal, admonishing him, "Don't rattle your chains."

"Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money supports her son's journey into sobriety rather than giving him the means to destroy himself. Redmond's inheritance will be tightly controlled," reported the Daily Mail of London.

Ryan O'Neal, Fawcett's longtime lover who had pledged to marry her on her deathbed, will not be one of the trustees.

Redmond, Fawcett's only child, has struggled with drug and alcohol problems and is doing time in a Los Angeles jail. Once he is released, he will get a monthly allowance from the fund as well as money to buy a home.

Ryan O'Neal, 68, said last week, "I loved her so very, very much. Redmond is in the fight of his life but is doing well. I will do everything that is in my power to honor her memory and to protect our son."

Fawcett also left some money to the University of Texas which was her alma mater.
