CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- The father of a key witness in the Haditha killings led a motorcycle rally from Seattle, Wash., to Camp Pendleton in support of a group of U.S. Marines accused of murdering Iraqis.Don Dinsmore rode his motorcycle more than 1,400 miles in the effort, which culminated with a rally at Camp Pendleton on Thursday.Don Dinsmore is the father of Marine Capt. Jeff Dinsmore, who has testified multiple times in the ongoing Haditha hearings.
The motorcycle ride took about five and a half days, and Don Dinsmore said he received a lot of support along the way.He said he's fed up with his son repeatedly having to testify."These guys are not guilty," Don Dinsmore said. "They have enough information for the defense to prove they're not guilty; they have nothing for the prosecution."Three Marines face murder charges in the case, and four officers face dereliction of duty charges for failing to investigate the killings.
