Do your workouts include manic stair climbing and running through the streets? Then the Urban Warrior Dash on March 2 is just the event for you.

Fitness mavens will get to race through downtown San Diego in the city’s inaugural Urban Warrior Dash. This unique race has more than a dozen obstacles you have to complete in five miles before crossing the finish line.

Obstacles include walking over a concrete tightrope, climbing a series of walls and dodging swinging tires. The final test of the course is to run the steps at Petco Park. Now that’s a lot of stairs.

Finishers will then get to enjoy an outdoor expo within Petco Park featuring snacks and beers from local businesses. Plus there’s a DJ to dance to, provided you’re not too tired to get your groove on.

The event takes place at 8 a.m. on March 2 at Petco Park. Registration is $70 until March 1, then it’s $85 after that. For more information or to sign up, visit the Urban Warrior Dash website.
