When Mariah Carey is ready to talk about rumors swirling around her possible pregnancy, hubby Nick Cannon says she will take the lead in addressing them.
"I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again - when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her," he said on his New York-based radio show, according to People.
The latest round of speculation was touched off by a series of photographs of the five-time Grammy winning songstress during a recent trip to Brazil.
Explaining a message he posted to his Twitter account in June, the "America's Got Talent" judge reiterated that the situation is a delicate one.
"We all know it's extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff," Cannon, 29, said.
If and when the couple were to announce a pregnancy, Cannon said that the couple would go to great pains to make sure they'd planned it correctly so as to avoid a media storm.
"That's something you want to keep near and dear and as close to you as you can possibly can, until you're 100% sure, in any situation," he said.
