"Seinfeld" actor Jason Alexander hit a 14-year-old cyclist on Tuesday morning, according to police.

The boy was struck by the actor's car near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and June Street about 7:15 a.m., according to Los Angeles police. The boy, who was riding to school, was hospitalized in stable condition.

Alexander is best known for his role as the neurotic George Costanza in "Seinfeld."

The actor was not cited, the Los Angeles Times reported. Alexander's rep told TMZ that "Jason stayed with the cyclist until the paramedics and police arrived and all indications are that the injury was minor."
