Disney Star Demi Lovato Reveals Struggle with Eating Disorder

When 18 year-old Disney Channel star Demi Lovato entered rehab last November, rumors swirled that she was simply partying too hard.

In a new interview with "Seventeen" magazine, Lovato explains that her troubles had a much darker root.

"I don't think there's going to be a day when I don't think about food or my body," Lovato tells the magazine, "but I'm living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it."

Lovato entered rehab late last year after getting into a physical altercation with a back-up dancer while touring with the Jonas Brothers. She was reported to have checked into an undisclosed rehab facility for "emotional and physical issues."

Lovato is attempting to refocus on her career, and she is also a contributing editor to "Seventeen."

“I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease," continues Lovato. "I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it.”
