San Diego Science Festival

SMART FUN: Science, technology, engineering, and math are the superstars at the San Diego Science Festival, a week-long festival that puts you-try-it to-dos in the hands of burgeoning scientists and young thinkers. The March 19-26 event just isn't for kids, of course, and while it is quite family-focused, it is for anyone who's sweet on the components and workings of the world around us, and the nifty and amazing ways it works. There's a career expo, for those thinking about science or math as a calling, as well as a "Science Speed Round" of interesting speakers. The schedule will have all the whens/whats.

EXPO DAY: The centerpiece of the festival, Expo Day is scheduled for Petco Park on Saturday, March 26. Plan on checking out 135 exhibits that allow participants to participate. (We love when participants actually get to participate.) It's a big event, and well-attended, so if you want to go, arrive early. But you know about science, and time, and scheduling, yes? So you're all set for planning, we bet.
