Since this weekend is probably going to be all about the youthful scene in San Diego, for Thursday I'm going to let you know that Doobie Brothers are coming to town with a show at Humphreys Concerts By the Bay. The band performed at the KPRI holiday show a couple years ago and I have to say that, while it wasn't the music playing on my parents' stereo growing up, the show was great and somehow I still knew most of their music. Plus, with the weather we've been having, an outdoor concert just sounds great.

Of course, there's also the usual indie selection, including my friends Fierce Creatures from Fresno who are performing at Eleven with the Good Hurt and Shiva Trash. Since you'll already be in the area, you can head over to Soda Bar to check out Kenseth and Brandon who are performing with By Sunlight and the Tall Ships. Just be sure to save some energy because it's going to be a huge weekend.
