It Came From the Garage

Rosemary Bystrak

The Widows are one of the bands performing at today's Space4Art garage sale.

It's not Halloween just yet, but many of the themed parties and events will occur tonight. Since we're focused mostly on live music here at SoundDiego, I've trimmed these listings quite a bit. You can see full listings on my site, and since there's such variety tonight, it's hard to narrow down the field, but no matter what you plan tonight, I'd encourage you to spend at least some of your afternoon at Space4Art, an artist residential space in Downtown's East Village. The artists are having a garage sale to raise some funds to support the space, and some of San Diego's best bands will be there to show their support for the arts and playing the low-dough show. ($3, or $1 if you wear a costume)

By nightfall, you can be sure the revelers will be out in droves, whether at 4th & B for electronic act Underworld, a dance party at the Casbah with Hyena and Shark Attack playing live, or checking out any of the other great shows that San Diego has to offer. You can dive right into celebration mayhem or find plenty of costume-free events, too, depending on your taste and preferences, and no doubt you can have a great time either way.
