Sounds Like San Diego: November 24

Historically, Thanksgiving Eve is a huge night in San Diego. For many years, my friends and I joined the tradition at the Ould Sod with the Hatchet Brothers, and the bar would be packed, wall-to-wall. Times change but T-Eve is still a great night to celebrate. Friends who've moved out of town return to be with family, and those of us who still live locally look forward to bumping elbows with friends and catching some good music along the way. Before you set out to party, however, you should get to Mossy Scion in Pacific Beach for an all-ages performance by the Silent Comedy. The event is free with your donation of at least three canned food items per person. This event has been postponed twice, so let's hope the weather stays dry enough for the event to finally take off for a good cause.

After that, you can enjoy Cash'd Out at the Casbah; a rare weeknight show at the Ken Club with Dynamite Walls, Vinyl Film and Helen Earth Band; or you can head up to a dance party Mad House at the Belly Up. Whatever you do, call a cab and have a great time.
