The Apples in stereo make a rare touring pass through San Diego tonight at the Casbah.
It's November, which means you're going to see music come to a screeching halt. Where most nights there are touring bands and lots of locals to choose from, expect some bunkering to occur. This is not to say the next three months will be completely dead, because there will still be plenty to choose from, but you will probably find yourself picking and choosing your adventures a little more carefully. Tonight I'd recommend starting your night at the tiny Park Gallery for Kelli Scarr. She's a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter who has also fronted a couple bands but is most known as being the female vocal counterpoint to Moby. From there you can head down to the Casbah for The Apples in stereo for their self-described "retro-futuristic super-pop" that should have you dancing and forgetting that it's only Tuesday.
