There are so many great shows happening tonight that you might as well take your own Fire Day Friday and enjoy a show tonight, where you're likely out of any immenent danger. Aptly name for this week's circumstances, local guys Trouble in the Wind have an album release show tonight at the Belly Up, or you can catch Blackout Party, along with Transfer and the Heavy Guilt, at 207 at the Hard Rock Hotel for Third Thursday. Still, I think the way to go is either the Cave Singers- who have played Casbah numerous times over the years- where they really shine, or the intricate weavings and violing looping of Kishi Bashi at the Irenic. Whatever you choose, enjoy the music and don't let the panic fervor take you over.
