The first time I saw Fake Problems, I just happened to be at the Casbah for the headliner, whose name escapes me now, but it's not that often that an out-of-town opener has my jaw dropped to the point where I leave in the middle of the set to buy its CD. That's exactly what happened, and I've been paying attention to them ever since. The Floridians got signed to Side One Dummy and ended up playing the full Warped Tour last summer, touring on their second record, which found the band exploring a more "Phil Spector sound." This time around, I hope they're at least getting enough tour support that they have warm showers and soft pillows to sleep on at night, but they're already quite the road warriors, so I'm sure they're surviving just fine. Locals Dynamite Walls and L.A.'s the Tender Box share the Anti-Monday League evening with them, both worthy of your attention as well.
