Pechanga Casino might be a drive, but if you've never had the pleasure of seeing Willie Nelson live, tonight is a great chance to catch the legendary singer. He might be known as a "country" act, but his music transcends labels, just as it transcends generations.
If the drive north is daunting, stay local and check out Sweet Apple, the latest project of Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, as they bring anthemic '70s fuzzed-rock to the Casbah, but consider yourself warned, Mascis doesn't do anything small, so you'll need your earplugs. You'll also wanna stretch your fingers, because you might just catch yourself playing some air guitar as the band rocks your socks off.
