I realize that there is probably quite a contingent of San Diegans who stay home at the slightest change in weather. Thursday's expected cold snap might mean you have to leave the flip-flops at home, but it's a good chance to pull out your sweaters and scarves because you don't want to miss In Motion Trio at the Casbah. It isn't often that the Middletown venue features improvisational and progressive jazz, so it is sure to be a winner for all of you jazz heads out there, but it is also a good chance to try something new if you have perhaps shied away from experiencing jazz in this town. It exists and it is really, really good, so do yourself a solid and check it out.
