If you're a San Diego native like me, and you're a fan of local music, your path has no doubt crossed that of Steve Poltz's at one time or another. It's hard to say that Steve is known for one thing or another. He's known for his stage antics, for being an impressive storyteller, for writing amazing songs and also for his co-writing credit with Jewel and that super hit, "You Were Meant for Me." As a longtime friend of Steve's, I can't put him in a box because he's everything that music should be. He's free, independent, accessible to friends, and he's constantly on the road, growing one fan at a time. As he celebrates his 2nd Annual 50th Birthday, raise a toast to the man who is sober, addicted to Bikhram's yoga and is nothing but an amazing musician.
