This month's Commune Wednesday brings a SoundDiego favorite, Hotel St. George, along with So Many Wizards. The monthly event brings together art and music at a free show. The hosting organization is funded by anti-tobacco money, and that message permeates much of the art, but there's no judgment there, and you won't get preached to, either, and it's a good way to spend a Wednesday night. If that's not your flavor, the Furious IV's Ian Taylor has assembled a band just to avoid falling down the singer/songwriter rabbit hole. He's awesome and you'll dig him. Trust me. Finally, over at Soda Bar, you've got the Purity Ring, who are so pure they don'e even have a record yet still somehow they've received the Pitchfork stamp of approval for best new music.
