Earlier this spring, Bar Pink hosted a surprise show from Rocket From the Crypt. It wouldn't seem such a big deal seeing as vocalist John Reis is one of the bar's owners, but the band hasn't played in years. It really was a warmup show for an upcoming European tour, and ever since that Easter show, San Diegans has been wondering when the band would come back and play for their hometown crowd -- Friday is the night. After the final race at the track, Rocket From the Crypt will perform. It's certain the who's who in San Diego music history will be bumping elbows. The concert is free with racetrack admission. If purchased after the last race, the ticket price increases. It's going to be a great night, and you might as well arrive early to get some races in, too.
