Hot Chip headline the Observatory North Park on Friday, Aug. 26.

I am really looking forward to this weekend and there is no short supply of awesome music to keep you entertained. First of all, Hot Chip returns to the Observatory, after appearing there for their first time almost exactly a year ago. The band is so lively and know how to fill the stage as well as making the crowd move their feet. At the Belly Up, the DJ master Z-Trip will certainly have the crowd moving in their flip-flops as well. And of course, Chula Vista will be jam packed with the return of Dave Matthews Band, who have been making the annual trek out there for about as long the venue has existed. Around town, Hills Like Elephants play their final show at the Whistle Stop (read the SoundDiego interview with the band), Cumbia Machin is at the Merrow, and Pepper is this week's performer after the races.
