    NEWSLETTERS

There are two weekends in San Diego I always look forward to: the last weekend of April and the last weekend of September. These two weekends have more events than just about every other week of the year, and this one in particular. even though it's only April, always marks to me the beginning of summer -- the festivals, the street fairs and the opportunity to celebrate the city. On Saturday, you should learn to love public transportation or dust off your old bike and check out Adams Avenue Unplugged and Mission Federal ArtWalk. You'll save yourself parking headaches if you find alternate transportation and can really enjoy the incredible lineups at both events. By night, catch the return of Chinchilla at the Casbah or check out great shows at Bar Pink and Soda Bar, or head out east to the Bancroft.
