There are some nights when San Diego has some good shows, but among my friends, we've been referring to this week as the Coachella Cradle because of all of the amazing shows. Tuesday, in particular, can be really great or make you cry because choosing one show means missing out on others that would fit right in your wheelhouse. At the Casbah, J Mascis performs his only solo show on the Dinosaur Jr tour, while indie lovers will certainly want to catch DIIV again. Youth Lagoon perform an all ages show at the Irenic in North Park, while Alt-J perform to a sold out crowd at the Belly Up, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds perform at the historic Balboa Theatre. There's certainly a lot of great music tonight, just choose wisely because tonight is certainly better than most.
