Hundreds of music fans turned out for the North Park Music Thing's Friday happy hour thrown by SoundDiego on Friday at Bar PInk in the heart of North Park.
NBCSanDiego's music blog, SoundDiego.com, was one of the event's sponsors and threw the Bar Pink happy hour as well as sponsoring a stage at Eleven, a new club on El Cajon Boulevard that replaced the Radio Room.
More than 100 bands turned out for the two-day event, playing on 14 stages at different sites around the community.
Partygoers at Bar Pink were treated to craft brews from the Pacific Beach Alehouse at the happy hoyur, which was hosted by anchor blogger and KRPI DJ Chris Cantore. Orange County's Entice and San Diego's own Bedford Grove both played short sets during the happy hour, which got happier by the minute until ending two hours after it began, setting the table for the rest of the weekend's musical schedule.
