Though I’ve never been, there must be nothing quite like a Hawaiian vacation to make you wanna let your hair down. But the first family’s holiday vacation in the sun-drenched islands apparently inspired first lady Michelle Obama to shorten hers.
Mrs. Obama was sporting the new coif when she attended funeral services this week for Vice President Joe Biden’s 92-year-old mother, Jean. The First Lady is now wearing a shorter, above-the-shoulder 'do. Gone are the longer locks that she’d grown and worn swept up or tucked under in recent months.
The first lady clearly likes to change her hair. During her first year in the White House she’s worn it straight, flat-ironed, swept up, pulled back AND tucked.
We’re told she got the new haircut sometime in the past week. And why not? A new year is the perfect time for a fresh cut.
