A job fair this Thursday in Carlsbad will bring work to dozens of unemployed people in the county.

The event on November 12th is in in the old Robinson's May building at Westfield mall, located at 2525 El Camino Real. The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will host the free job fair.

Each year, the business expo includes more than 100 exhibitors from a wide variety of industries and draws more than 1,000 attendees. Dozens of employers who are actively hiring will have booths at the job fair.  Some of the companies include Express Employment Professionals, Acushnet Company (Cobra Golf and Titlest), Harrah's Rincon, Time Warner Cable and Northwest Mutual Financial Network.

Harrah’s Rincon has about 40 positions they are looking to fill, “Everything from hotel to food and beverage, house-keeping, marketing and I’ll be there with my full job list,” hiring mananger Lori Gonzales said.

Career services, including interview techniques and resume reviews, will also be offered at the fair. Ted Owen, the President and CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, said everyone who attends the fair would walk away a step closer to finding employment.

“Mira Costa College and Cal State San Marcos facilitators are going to be there, you can bring your resume and they will look at it and make some adjustments for you.”
