Sounds Like San Diego: January 17

Fridays are always great nights for music, and tonight, true rock & roll reigns supreme. The Casbah welcomes the Penetrators for a sold-out night, while the Dread Crew of Oddwood bring the weird and wonderful to Soda Bar. Wild Ones moved from the Void to the Whistle Stop, and the show is now free, so that is certainly worth checking out. The big show of the night for me, however, is Johnette Napolitano at the Griffin. I was obsessed with Concrete Blonde in high school and college, and her voice is one of the most epic of female voices in rock & roll. With Jesse Lamonaca opening, ths is going to be an incredible night of music.
