After losing two in a row for the first time in six years, The University of San Diego had to mount an incredible comeback at Davidson to avoid yet another defeat.
The Toreros trailed 21-0, before quarterback Sebastien Trujillo and wide receiver John Mathews combined to bring them back. Trujillo threw three touchdown passes, all to Mathews, as USD beat Davidson 28-24 in North Carolina. Trujillo finished 22 of 27 for 265 yards. Mathews had 140 yards receiving.
The victory leaves USD 7-2, and 4-2 in the Pioneer League. They've got two home games remaining against Butler, and UC Davis.
