San Diego's Super Fan

When you head into a San Diego bar on a Sunday and the Chargers are in the playoffs, you expect to find the beer taps flowing and some fired up fans, but we weren’t quite ready for Superman.

“I’m a San Diego super Charger and we’re going to knockout Pittsburgh today,” said Joel Copland (A.K.A. Superman).  “When the Chargers score you want to see the super dance?”

Okay we said.  And there it was, the super dance.

“Sometimes I don’t know my super strength,” Copland said.

San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson wasn't in uniform for Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game at the Steelers, sidelined by the detached tendon in his groin that kept him out of most of the previous week's upset of Indianapolis.  But that doesn’t worry Superman.

“We’ve got Sproles and Rivers and the rest of the gang,” Copland said.  And then, there’s always the dance.

“I’m excited, super excited.  Whoever wins this is going to go on to beat Baltimore, which of course is the Chargers, and then we’re going to the Super Bowl,” Copland said.
