Chicago-based United Airlines compensated all passengers on a flight Thursday following a “concerning incident” involving an attendant aboard a Trans States Airlines plane, a spokeswoman said.

Twitter user Erika Gorman shared pictures of the airline employee looking disheveled and placing her face within inches of another passenger on flight 4689. The plane was headed from Denver to Williston, North Dakota.

“Thanks @united, for a terrifying flight!” the since-deleted tweet read.

"Boarding announcements were 'if your seatbelt isn’t tight, you F^*%ed up,'" Gorman said.

She also said she had to go to the cockpit and tell the pilot about the “out of control attendant.” She said police were waiting at the airport when they landed.

Williston police said there was no one authorized available to speak to a reporter on the incident. A person who answered the department's phone said it sounded like the situation was being "embellished."

A spokeswoman for United said in an emailed statement that the airline apologized “for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused” and that it compensated the passengers as a "gesture of good will."

Asked for further details about the flight attendant, the airline did not immediately respond.

Trans States, which operates some flights for United and other airlines, said it was aware of reports of erratic behavior by a flight attendant on the plane.

The employee will be "held out of service" pending an investigation.
