Although powerful storms pounded Nashville early Friday, meteorologists predicted the system would quickly lose its power as it moved east, NBC News reported. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning across central Tennessee and Kentucky on Thursday, while damaging winds left more than 250,000 homes and businesses without power across Texas. But, a lead forecaster at The Weather Channel said of Friday: "There is a very low chance of tornadoes throughout the day."
