University of San Diego baseball player Riley Adams is the West Coast Conference "Player of the Week."
The sophomore catcher helped San Diego to a 3-1 record last week.
He collected three hits in the Toreros’ 9-6 victory over San Diego State in a game that was played up in Lake Elsinore at the home of the Padres’ single-A affiliate.
Adams was so good in his past four games that he finished the week with a ridiculous .533 batting average.
Adams and the Toreros face the Aztecs again Tuesday night at 6pm at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
That starts a stretch of 6 games in 8 days for USD.
