Brush Fire Ignites Near Field of Solar Panels in Ramona

A half-acre brush fire was burning in a field of solar panels at a farm in Ramona, Cal Fire said Thursday.

A perimeter of roads surrounded the fire, which sparked at about 10:40 a.m. at S&S Farms, a pig breeding facility on Warnock Drive.

Cal Fire said the fire was moving at a moderate rate of spread but it did not prompt any evacuations.

It was not clear what caused the fire to spark.
