Snow and behold, Mammoth's only a short flight away.

Just in time for the holidays, San Diego is receiving the gift of non-stop flights to Mammoth. The flights begin on December 15 and are offered by United Airlines.

The new United service includes non-stop flights daily throughout the winter from San Diego, and Thursday – Sunday service from Orange County.

In addition, a second flight will be added Thursday through Sunday to and from San Francisco.

All flights arrive at Mammoth Lakes Yosemite Airport, which is just 15 minutes away from Mammoth Mountain Resort.

“Air service from Los Angeles, San Jose and San Francisco has been a tremendous success and we’re pleased to be announcing service from two new major markets,” said Howard Pickett, Chief Marketing Officer, Mammoth Mountain. “After our record-breaking 2010-11 snow season and the predicted return of La Niña, Mammoth will be easier to get to from more places than ever before.”

Meanwhile, Mammoth's preparing for the seasonal influx of travelers.

Starting December 17, Night of Lights returns to Canyon Lodge. A nearly 20-year-old tradition, the Night of Lights celebrates the magic of the holiday season with a winter lights show against the majestic backdrop of Mammoth's ski slopes.
