New Details in Deaths of La Jolla Couple

Investigators released new information in the deaths of a married couple found Wednesday inside their La Jolla home

Two bodies discovered inside a La Jolla home were found on a couch with evidence of possible suicide nearby officials revealed Friday.

The unidentified couple was discovered by San Diego police Feb. 29 while officers were making a welfare call.

The couple's son asked police to stop by the home on Caminito Sueno to check on his parents after he had been unable to reach them officials said.

Officers found an 81-year-old man and his 77-year-old wife dead inside the home with no signs of forced entry. 

The man had a plastic bag over his head with a tube according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner.
