Gulls Secure Home Ice Advantage

San Diego beats Bakersfield, will host 1st round of Calder Cup Playoffs

Entering Wednesday night's game against Bakersfield the Gulls needed one point to secure home-ice advantage for the first round of their Calder Cup Playoffs series, which they knew was going to be against the Ontario Reign. Now they know it will start at Valley View Casino Center.

San Diego's offense broke out of a slump with a 5-1 win over the Condors to make sure the road to the second round goes through America's Finest City. Goalie Jhonas Enroth made 35 saves in the win.

The series against Ontario will be the ever-popular 1-1-1-1-1 format. One game at home, one on the road until somebody wins three. Here's the full schedule:

Game 1 Friday, April 21 at Valley View Casino Center, 7 p.m.
