After their wildly successful return to San Diego, the Gulls will open their sophomore season in the American Hockey League against the team that ended their freshman campaign.
On Monday the Gulls revealed their AHL preseason schedule ... a home-and-home series against their bitter rivals, the Ontario Reign.
San Diego’s 2016 preseason opener will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Ontario, curiously at 10:00 in the morning. The teams will play a second exhibition game at Honda Center in Anaheim on Monday, Oct. 10 at 7:00 p.m.
Admission and parking for the game in Anaheim will be complimentary. Details on how to register for the free tickets will be available at a later date. Seating is general admission (first-come, first-served basis).
San Diego led the entire AHL in attendance for the 2015-2016 season, its first in the American Hockey League. The AHL’s complete regular-season schedule will be released by the league office in the coming weeks. In their return to
