Fog Causes Delays at Airport

Fog plagued coastal downtown San Diego and forced arriving flights to delay or cancel their landings at Lindbergh Field on Tuesday morning.

Airplanes coming in to the city were taking off on time but were stuck up in the air, circling the runway once they reached San Diego. The poor visibility from the fog was the culprit, according to Southwest Airlines.

Some flights leaving Lindbergh were canceled this morning. One passenger headed to San Francisco had no choice but to wait for the fog to clear. She was hoping to get a later flight this morning.

More than a dozen of Southwest Airlines' flights were affected.
