Drivers using northbound and southbound Interstate 805 at the Golden Triangle over the weekend and next week will be detoured, as Caltrans crews install guardrails and traffic monitoring systems.
Northbound I-805 will be closed at Sorrento Valley Road and the Vista Sorrento Parkway off-ramp from 9:30 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
During the closure, crews will be installing new guardrails, according to information released by Caltrans. Drivers will be detoured to the Mira Mesa Boulevard and Vista Sorrento Parkway off-ramp.
There will be additional closures on northbound I-805 from La Jolla Village Drive and Miramar Road to Interstate 5. This road closure is set for next Monday and Tuesday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Crews will redirect drivers to westbound State Route 52 and northbound I-5. Traffic will be allowed to exit at Governor and Nobel drives.
On Wednesday night, southbound I-805 will close from I-5 to SR-52 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., while Caltrans works to install traffic monitoring systems. An alternative route will be offered for drivers on southbound I-5 to eastbound SR-52 and to I-805.
