San Diego police and San Diego Gas & Electric crews have responded to a Shelltown neighborhood for a reported broken gas line.
The broken line was reported just before noon on Beta Street near S 39th Street.
Cesar Chavez Elementary School is located less than a mile from the scene of the broken gas line.
Shelltown is located east of Interstate 15, west of Interstate 805 and north of National City.
