A South Bay woman, whose brutal beating at the hands of three men was caught on camera, spoke about the attack for the first time.
Germaine Brown, 57, is still hospitalized and slowly healing from numerous injuries including a gash on her cheek which is now a scar, several broken ribs, broken teeth and a jaw that had to be wired shut.
"I didn't know what was going on," Brown said in an exclusive interview with NBC 7 San Diego.
The only thing she remembers about the violent attack captured on surveillance video is waking up in an emergency room.
In the video, Brown can be seen standing on the corner of Davidson and Broadway in Chula Vista. She was holding a flashlight as one man got out of a Mitsubishi Gallant and confronted her. After another man got out of the same car, the two men attacked Brown and knocked her unconscious.
The two men drove off, leaving Brown lying in the street.
The video shows the car returning about a minute later. At that point, three men got out of the vehicle and continued to punch and kick Brown.
Brown doesn't want to see the surveillance video because she says it would be too emotionally painful.
"It makes me feel bad,” Brown said.

Right now, the mother of two adult sons is focused on her recovery and helping investigators find the men who attacked her.
"I hope they get caught," she said.
Chula Vista police are still looking for the suspects in what they have determined was an unprovoked attack.
