An elderly woman has died after she was hit by a car in North Park, according to police.
Patricia Dora Martin, 82, was walking on Howard Avenue near 30th Street just after 4 p.m. on Sunday when she was hit by a Toyota RAV4, according to police.
The driver told police he waited for traffic to clear before turning onto 30th Street and was surprised to suddenly see Martin.
A witness reported that Martin was walking with the signal.
Martin suffered massive head injuries and died a short time later at a hospital.
Police say neither person was under the influence of alcohol.
