Thieves have broken into a Tierrasanta jewelry story for the third time in 14 months and police are searching for the suspects.
The crooks stole several watches, an earring display full of solid gold earrings and several pendants just after 4 a.m. Wednesday, storeowner Paul Smith said.
When Smith arrived at the store he found glass and display cases broken. He says he had just installed new locks.
The suspects may be driving a Budget rental truck, police said.
The stolen loot totaled more than $40,000.
