A woman was struck and killed in Mission Bay Park Sunday evening, San Diego police confirmed.
Northbound Mission Bay Drive was closed after the crash occurred at 9:16 p.m.
SDPD says the woman was traveling southbound when, for some reason, she stopped the car and got out.
She stepped into the path of another driver also traveling south on Mission Bay Drive.
The woman died from her injuries.
Police said alcohol or drugs were not suspected in the crash, and the collision was not a hit-and-run.
No other information was immediately available.
