A marijuana dispensary in Fallbrook was shut down after the San Diego Sheriff's Department (SDSO) served a search warrant on Thursday.
The Golden State CBD Marijuana Dispensary, located on 616 East Alvarado Street is within 600 feet from a church, which according to SDSO, is a violation of regulations set by San Diego County.
SDSO's Licensing Division served a CEASE and DESIST order to the dispensary in May, 2015 but it disregarded the order.
According to regulations, marijuana dispensaries cannot be located within a certain distance to schools, playgrounds and churches, among other public places.
On Thursday, SDSO served a search warrant at the dispensary and siezed marijuana, computer equipment and THC related products. Two employees were also detained but were released at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
