Traffic has reopened in the eastbound lanes of El Cajon Boulevard from La Mesa Boulevard to Baltimore following a crash involving a La Mesa police officer.
The two-car crash happened around 10 a.m.
The police officer injured their hand and the other driver was uninjured. Neither person went to the hospital.
The officer was responding to a call.
It took a while to process the scene because the department was understaffed, according to La Mesa police.
