Two men are wanted in connection with a home-invasion robbery Friday evening in Mission Valley where one woman dropped her son off a balcony, and jumped off of it herself, in order to get away from the suspects.
A woman was robbed of her personal property by two suspects armed with handguns inside her home located in the in 8310 block of Rio San Diego Drive just before 5 p.m., according to police.
The woman’s husband returned home during the robbery and was confronted by the men inside the apartment, said Sgt. David Stafford, with San Diego police.
The man ran out the residence and then saw his wife and son on the balcony of the apartment, at which point the wife decided to drop the 5-year-old to her husband, said Stafford.
The woman then jumped off the balcony herself and injured her leg when she hit a fence on the way down, according to a media release.
A passerby allegedly drove the woman to the hospital before officers arrived on the scene.
Police describe one of the suspects as being in his 30s, 6 feet tall, muscular and wearing jeans and white shoes. The other man is said to be in his 40's, 5 foot 8 inches tall, 200 lbs and was wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
There was no word on how much the victims lost to the suspects, nor any official information as to how they got away.
