A man who drowned while swimming off Mission Beach over the weekend was identified by officials at the county medical examiner's office.
Darren Klock, 42, of Tucson, Ariz., was found in shallow water Saturday night in the surf line near El Carmel Place.
A woman who was with him was hospitalized.
